hey hi hello! 👋🏽
I’m Jenny—a compulsive writer, creative strategist, cultural theorist, and serial hobbyist currently eating my way through New York City and seeking the meaning of life (among other things).
some of my favorite things
Reading, travel, cats, jasmine tea, clever microcopy, Korean skincare, minimalist design and maximalist decor, vintage slang, logic puzzles, good ramen, campy Christmas rom-coms, short poetry, home decor magazines, portmanteaus, miniature desserts, bar trivia, email newsletters, dark lipsticks, and comfy cardigans.
some of my core beliefs
The best things are beautiful, intentional, useful, and inspiring
The Oxford comma is necessary and non-negotiable
The secret to being an interesting person is reading more + indulging your curiosity
Niceness is overrated but goodness is everything
Happiness is waking up in a different country
99% of the time, not liking cats is just misogyny
You have to learn the rules to better break them
Ice cream in the dessert round of Chopped is always a mistake
some final thoughts
I’ve always thought the term “lifestyle blog” was unsatisfying. Sometimes lifestyle blogs are more aspirational than truthful. But this is a lifestyle blog because it is unequivocally and unapologetically about life; it explores equal parts aestheticism and imperfection as I learn what it means to be alive and to be human.
I really couldn’t find any other lifestyle blogs like this, so I wrote one. It’s a way for me to indulge my own curiosities and share my thoughts about the things I’m passionate about: the places I travel, the food I make, the things I read, and the things that keep me awake at night.
